The news of Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin’s “conscious uncoupling” came as a surprise to everyone when the news was released. (Yawn) Despite spending Mother’s Day together, Martin was seen “consciously coupling” with another woman…

According to reports by several witnesses and media outlets, the Coldplay frontman was spotted on an intimate date with Alexa Chung. An eyewitness noticed the Brits getting cozy at a New York City bar on May 6th. The eyewitness said it definitely didn’t appear to be a “business meeting”. Martin, 37, and Chung, 30, were apparently tucked away in the back of the bar in the dark. Fellow eyewitnesses said the meeting looked very much “like a date”. The two reportedly stayed at the bar until close to midnight just hanging out. The final report we received said that Martin was very nice an open when greeted by others, while Chung seemed reserved and more inclined to hide their rendezvous.

Martin’s ex-whatever you want to call her will be anything but surprised by the news. She’s fully-aware that Chung and Martin are friends, but she may not be too happy that they could be “consciously coupling”. Sorry that never gets old….
