A new story in this week’s Star says Jennifer Lawrence got into a screaming match with Nicholas Hoult at Comic-Con. The good Comic-Con gossip always filters out a few weeks later, right? I tend to believe this story even though Star illustrated with a photo of JLaw flipping the bird (at a party) to a guy who looks more like Josh Hutcherson. This was a misplaced illustration and a misleading one too. (As is the photo above.) The fight in question is said to have taken place at a sushi restaurant. Nick was reportedly putting the moves on JLaw because Chris Martin wasn’t around, and so the exes went out to dinner together. Then they got into a righteously loud argument after Nick brought up a sensitive subject. I like to think Nick asked why JLaw was dating the king of elevator music, but the fight probably stemmed from their storied history as an on-off couple:

On July 11, guests at Nobu in San Diego almsot had front-row seats to what looked like a romantic dinner between exes Nicholas Hoult and Jennifer Lawrence, who were tucking into sushi after a Comic-Con panel discussion about their upcoming collaboration, X-Men: Apocalypse. Imagine their surprise when the 24-year-old Oscar winner gave the performance of a lifetime, storming out of the establishmenti n a huff before the check arrived!

Nick has been making a full-court press to get back together with Jen, who still has strong feelings for him. Insiders say after learning that his ex would be without boyfriend Chris Martin tha weekend, NIck asked Jen to dinner and she politely accepted. Toward the end of the meal, it appears as though the actor, 25, brought up a subject Jen was not ready to address. “Jen was clearly upset with the topic of discussion,” says an eyewitness. “She angrily threw her hands up in the air as she yelled at Nick, who appeared agitated at her reaction. Next thing you now, he starts screaming too. It was a heated argument before she finally walked out on him.”

After leaving Nick to pay the bill, Jen headed over to an Entertainment Weekly party at the Hard Rock Hotel. “She flipped out when she saw Nick walk through the door, says a partygoer. “Jen insisted on sitting in a cabana far from him but kept shooting Nick dirty looks all night long.”

After Comic-Con, its going to be interesting to see how they handle working so closely,” says the insider. “Jen is a professional, but it’s hard to say how NIck and his wounded ego will fare having to act alongside her in such tight quarters.”

Well, Jennifer is a professional, so she won’t let anything get in the way of working with Nick to promote together soon. She’s very good at turning her business face on and off, even if she is an emotional goofball in real life. I believe she can be a big yeller, because there were photos of her screaming on the phone from a Hawaii balcony. This was when she was fresh off the 2013 Oscar win and smoking pot. JLaw can have fun, but she also has a temper.
