Perhaps most well known for portraying Boots Claibourne in the 1989 movie Heart of Dixie, Paul is also recognized for his roles as Buddy and Craig on the respective television shows The Hat Squad (1992-93) and Models Inc. (1994-95).

Before Fame

He made his television debut in a 1983 episode of Trauma Center and appeared in his first film, Lovelines, the following year.

Trivia

Aside from his acting career, he directed the 2002 action movie Half Past Dead and penned the screenplay for the 1991 Mickey Rourke starrer Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man.

Family Life

He spent his youth in the Southern California communities of Newport Beach and Laguna Beach and earned a theatre degree from California State University, Fullerton. He and his wife, Lonni Paul, raised three children.
