Cyclist who became the youngest to ever win a UCI World Tour race when he won the 2019 Tour of California at age 20. He would later finish 1st overall at his first ever Tour de France in 2020. He competed in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and won a bronze medal in the men's road race.

Before Fame

He was first spotted by coach Andrej Hauptman while lapping older teenagers in a 2011 race.  

Trivia

He won his first ever Grand Tour race at the 2019 Vuelta a España, where he also won three stages. He also won his first UCI World Tour race when he won the 2019 Tour of California. 

Family Life

His long-time partner is fellow cyclist Urška Žigart.
