Famous as a bassist, keyboard player, and backup singer for the British indie band The Wombats, he contributed to such UK hit albums as A Guide to Love, Loss & Desperation; The Modern Glitch; and Glitterbug.

Before Fame

He and his bandmates launched The Wombats while studying at The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts. Their early radio hits include "Moving to New York" and "Let's Dance to Joy Division."

Trivia

He and his musical collaborators won a 2008 MTV Europe Music Award in the "Best UK and Ireland New Act" category.

Family Life

He spent his childhood in Elverum, Norway, and later settled in Liverpool, England. His The Wombats band "family" includes drummer Daniel Haggis and vocalist and guitarist Matthew Murphy.
